ASTM Level 1 Mask is a 3-ply, medical, disposable face mask created to help protect clinicians and patients and anyone who wants more protection from pathogens that may spread by blood or other body fluids. This mask is a top-quality product and meets Health Canada specifications. Medical ASTM level 1 Face Mask is designed with a soft, highly breathable material that is hypoallergenic and is not made with rubber latex, fiberglass or graphene. The adjustable nose wire ensures the perfect fit of this face mask. Comfortable extra soft elastic ear loops eliminate pressure to the ears.

Is the ASTM Level 1 Face Mask Right for You?

Face masks are graded based on how well they protect against different elements. ASTM Level 1 masks provide low barrier protection and should not be used for aerosols, spray or fluid. ASTM Level 2 masks provide moderate barrier protection for low to moderate levels of aerosols, spray and or fluids. ASTM Level 3 masks provide maximum barrier protection and are used for high risk of fluid, spray or aerosol exposure. The higher the grade, the more protection your mask will offer. You should choose the ASTM Level 1 Masks only if maximum protection is not one of your priorities.

How to put on an ASTM Level 1 Medical Face Mask:

1. Clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer before touching the Level 1 Face Mask.

2. Take the disposable Mask out of the box or packaging and make sure there are no obvious tears or holes in either side of the mask.

3. Determine which side of the ASTM Mask is the top. The side of the Mask that  has a stiff bendable edge is the top and is meant to mold to the shape of your nose.

4. Determine which side of the 3-ply ASTM Mask is the front.

5. Hold the Face Mask by the ear loops and place a loop around each ear.

Special Note:

  • Do not touch the ASTM level 1 Mask once in position.
  • If the Face Mask gets soiled or damp, depose it properly and replace it with a new one.

THE IMPORTANCE OF WEARING A MASK

MASKS IN THE WORKPLACE

As restrictions are lifted in certain regions, we are noticing a consistent trend with the continuation of masking in public places.  If you prefer to continue wearing a mask, we stand with you and are happy to ensure you have consistent supply when needed.

WHO SHOULD WEAR A MASK, AND WHERE SHOULD THEY BE WORN?

Most workplaces currently require employees and customers to wear protective medical masks while in the facility. The CDC recommends that people who are using public transportation or meeting with people who do not live in the same household, should be wearing masks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many times can I use the ASTM Level 1 disposable mask?

You should not reuse disposable ASTM Mask Level 1 as per CDC and WHO..

What is the difference between an N95 Respirator and Medical Mask Level 1.

N95 is a particulate respirator approved By NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) and it filters at least 95% of airborne particles, whereas ASTM level 1 face mask does not need NIOSH approval and it’s not a respirator which needs fit testing. Moreover N95 are designed to provide a good seal whereas level 1 face masks are not designed to seal tightly to the face.

What is the difference between level 1, 2, and 3 Medical Masks?

  • Medical Masks are classified according to ASTMF2100-11  levels testing mask performances in 4 areas:
  • Fluid resistance
  • Differential Pressure
  • Filter Efficiency (BFE, PFE)
  • Flammability
